Bosbury, Hereford, Kingsland and Wormbridge are among the locations to benefit from Openreach's biggest ever recruitment drive, which has been welcomed by the Chancellor of Exchequer. The business is taking on 3,500 new engineers across the UK to help deliver ultrafast Fibre to the Premises broadband to three million premises, support evolving mobile networks and improve customer service.

West Midlands to get £17.5 million boost from local community fibre broadband schemes

The West Midlands is expected to get a multi-million pound boost from an initiative which sees local communities forming partnerships with Openreach to bring high-speed fibre broadband to rural homes and businesses, according to an independent study published today. Faster broadband boosts house prices and business success as well as providing a range of social benefits for rural communities.
