Downloading a film and sharing or streaming content is about to become faster and more reliable for 7,500 homes and businesses in Tranent. People living in the East Lothian town are set to benefit from access to some of the fastest broadband speeds available after Openreach announced the next 81 locations to be upgraded for ultrafast broadband.

More premises across Fife can now upgrade to faster fibre broadband through the £428 million Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband rollout. To unveil the latest upgrades, the Digital Scotland team visited Scotland’s Secret Bunker near St Andrews. The Cold War era tourist attraction is among the first premises in the area to upgrade to ultrafast Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) technology.
